Busan Transportation Corporation Receives 7th Education Mecenat Award for Educational Donations
Value of Social Contribution and Educational Donations for Youth Recognized
Including Urban Railway Operator and Station Staff Experience, and Safety Education
Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byung-jin) was recognized for its contribution to educational donations for youth by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education on the 18th and received the Education Mecenat Top Award at the 17th Education Mecenat Top Awards.
With this award, the corporation set a record as the seventh recipient of the Mecenat Top Award.
The Education Mecenat Top Award is a prestigious local educational donation commendation jointly hosted by Busan City, Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Busan Ilbo. At the 17th Education Mecenat Top Awards, 41 companies, organizations, and individuals who contributed to the activation of local educational donations were honored with Education Mecenat Top Awards (27 institutions and organizations), Education Mecenat Plaques (12 institutions and organizations), and Appreciation Certificates (2 institutions and individuals).
The corporation was recognized for its efforts since signing a business agreement with the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education in 2016, conducting various educational donation activities such as urban railway operator experience programs for youth. In 2024, it continued to carry out various social contribution projects aimed at nurturing future talents, including urban railway operator and station staff experiences and safety education for youth. As a result, it was re-certified as a career experience certified institution by the Ministry of Education, proving the excellence of the corporation’s educational donation projects.
Additionally, a local career experience exploration game developed in collaboration with the Dongnae-gu Career Education Center was selected as the best project in the Ministry of Education’s “2024 Career Experience Activation Project through Local Community Cooperation.”
