Additional 700,000 Vouchers to Be Issued in June and October
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 20th that, together with the Korea Tourism Organization, it will promote the first "Korea Accommodation Sale Festa" of the year to celebrate March as Travel Month.
The Ministry and the Organization will distribute the first batch of 300,000 "2025 Accommodation Discount Vouchers" starting from the 28th to revitalize local tourism and domestic consumption.
The first batch of accommodation discount vouchers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis, one per person, every day from 10 a.m. starting on the 28th through 42 online travel agencies (OTAs). Distribution will end once all vouchers are exhausted. The issued vouchers can be used for non-metropolitan area accommodations (excluding Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon) from February 28 to April 6 based on the check-in date. For accommodation bookings priced between 20,000 KRW and less than 70,000 KRW, a 20,000 KRW discount voucher will be provided, and for bookings priced at 70,000 KRW or more, a 30,000 KRW discount voucher will be supported. Eligible facilities include hotels, condos, resorts, pensions, and other domestic accommodations; unregistered accommodations and hourly rentals are not eligible.
The Ministry and the Organization plan to distribute a total of 1 million vouchers in three rounds during spring (March), summer (June), and autumn (October) in 2025 to redirect overseas travel demand domestically and to spread out travel periods.
Detailed information on how to use the discount vouchers can be found on the "2025 Korea Spring Accommodation Sale Festa" website. For additional inquiries, assistance is available through the call center.
