Open to All Citizens... Results to Be Announced on City Website in May
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province is hosting a "Citizen Policy Proposal Contest" to discover policies in which citizens can directly participate and empathize.
According to the city on the 19th, the contest aims to actively reflect citizens' opinions in city administration and to discover various policies that enhance the convenience of residents' daily lives.
The contest period runs until the 18th of next month, and any citizen can participate. Each person may submit up to two policy proposals, but only one proposal per person will be awarded. Selected proposals will undergo Jeongeup City's policy formulation and budget allocation procedures and will be implemented in actual city administration.
The contest topics include: ▲Policies requiring improvement in daily life ▲Support for increasing the resident population and multi-child families ▲Revitalization of local commercial districts ▲Creation of youth jobs ▲Revitalization of Jeongeup-style tourism, food, and festivals ▲Other creative policies for the development of Jeongeup. The contest covers a wide range of fields that can contribute to Jeongeup's development and enhance citizen convenience.
To participate, applicants can download the application form from the city website, fill it out, and submit it in person, by mail, fax, or email.
Outstanding proposals will be selected through a comprehensive evaluation of creativity, feasibility, and effectiveness. The results of the evaluation will be announced on the city website in May. Awards include: ▲1 Grand Prize ▲2 Excellence Prizes ▲3 Encouragement Prizes ▲10 Effort Prizes, with winners receiving Jeongeup Love gift certificates.
