Professor Lim Anna of Sangmyung University Wins 1st Saya Photography Art Award
Recognized for Profound Introspection and Unique Expression
Sangmyung University announced on the 19th that Professor Anna Im from the Department of Photography and Imaging received the 1st Saya Photography Art Award along with a prize of 20 million KRW.
This award was established by the Saya Cultural Foundation under TC Taechang to honor the legacy of underwater photographer Saya Yoo Jaeseong and to support the development of photography art in Korea.
The selection process involved five domestic experts recommending fifteen photography artists, after which three international experts made the final decision through a judging process.
Professor Im submitted works including "Romantic Soldier," "Rehearsal of Anxiety," and "Hidden Cut." She was unanimously selected as the winner by the judges in recognition of her profound introspection and unique expression.
