Daegu Catholic University, celebrating its 111th anniversary this year, has developed and distributed the 'Daegu Catholic University Typeface' for free to strengthen the university's identity and brand.

View original imageThis typeface is based on the university name logo typeface used since 2004 and reflects both the university's tradition and modern sensibility by harmonizing deep curves, straight lines, and vertical forms to ensure excellent readability.
The Daegu Catholic University Typeface consists of 2,350 Korean characters, 95 Latin characters (alphabets, punctuation marks, numbers), and 985 other special characters. The Korean characters were developed according to the 'KS X1001 Complete Form' standard, a Korean language character set designated by the Korean Industrial Standards.
The Daegu Catholic University Typeface is provided without restrictions so that not only university members but also the general public can freely use it.
It can be downloaded for free from the Daegu Catholic University website without any limitations on usage scope or target, including commercial and non-commercial purposes.
A university official said, "It is meaningful to develop a typeface using the university name to commemorate the 111th anniversary," and added, "We will promote and support the widespread use of the Daegu Catholic University Typeface."
