The Youth Participation Organization is a body established to actively gather the opinions of young people and to have them take an active role in the process of policy formulation and implementation, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of policies and promoting youth rights and interests.
At the inauguration ceremony, Kim Eunhee, the Chairperson of the Participation Committee (Damyang Girls’ Middle School, 3rd grade), and 17 other committee members were appointed. Over the next year, the appointed members will propose policies related to youth, provide advice and evaluations on youth facility monitoring and program operations, plan programs, and operate youth events, engaging in a variety of activities for the local youth.
An official from the county said, "By expressing their opinions and participating in policies for themselves, the youth who will lead the future of Damyang can help create policies that truly reflect what young people want," adding, "We will actively communicate so that the voices of youth can be reflected in county administration."
