View original imageOn the 13th, Cha Jun-hwan scored a technical element score (TES) of 99.02 points and a program component score (PCS) of 88.58 points, totaling 187.60 points in the men's singles free skating held at the Heilongjiang Ice Training Center Multipurpose Hall in Harbin, China.
With a short program score of 94.09 points, Cha Jun-hwan achieved a final total score of 281.69 points, defeating the 'Asia's strongest' Yuma Kagiyama (Japan, 272.76 points), who made multiple mistakes, to claim the victory.
The bronze medal was won by Mikhail Shaidorov of Kazakhstan (246.01 points), and Kim Hyun-kyum (Hangwang High School), who also competed in the same event, withdrew due to ankle pain. North Korea's Ro Yong-myung finished in 5th place with a final total score of 205.16 points.
