Koo Chungon, Head of Gwangyang Free Economic Zone Authority, Listens to Investment Promotion Issues in Hadong District
Visiting Daesong Industrial Complex, Galsaman Shipbuilding Industrial Complex, and Duwu Leisure Complex
The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Koo Chung-gon, hereinafter referred to as Gwangyang FEZ Authority) announced that on the 12th, it visited the Hadong Office to inspect the development status of the Hadong District and listen to issues related to investment attraction.
During the visit, Commissioner Koo Chung-gon of the Gwangyang FEZ Authority personally toured the development sites of Daesong Industrial Complex, Galsaman Shipbuilding Industrial Complex, and Duwu Leisure Complex in the Hadong District to check the progress of each project.

Commissioner Koo stated, "We will ensure the successful promotion of the Hadong District development so that it can play a vital role in revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs," and added, "We will do our utmost to establish the Hadong District, a major development area of the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone, as a key hub for industry and the regional economy."
The Hadong District of the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone is being developed with a total project cost of 2.1867 trillion KRW, covering an area of 9.7 square kilometers.
The Daesong Industrial Complex is being developed as a center for secondary batteries, eco-friendly advanced materials, and renewable energy industries, and companies such as L&F Co., Ltd., Gyeongnam QSF, and Hadong E-Factory Co., Ltd. have either moved in or are about to move in.
The Galsaman Shipbuilding Industrial Complex aims to become a global hub for the shipbuilding and marine industries, while the Duwu Leisure Complex is planned to be developed as a multi-purpose resort complex combining marine leisure and tourism industries.
After touring the sites, Commissioner Koo stated, "We will strengthen policy support to ensure that investing companies can settle stably, and we will make every effort to establish the Hadong District as a center for sustainable growth."
