"Learn Arabic"... S-OIL Science and Culture Foundation, Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program
Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program
Korean University Students Visit Arab Countries
Experience Local Culture and Academic Exchange
The S-OIL Science and Culture Foundation (Chairman Hong Seok-woo) is conducting the "Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program" from the 7th to the 15th of this month.
This foundation was established by S-OIL (CEO Anwar Al Hizazi) to nurture talent in the pure sciences and support academic research.
This event was organized to foster mutual understanding of culture and history through exchanges between Korea and Saudi Arabia, broaden global awareness, and help young people grow into global leaders.
Last year, the Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program invited 12 Saudi Arabian university students to Korea for a 9-day visit. This year, 14 Korean university students interested in Arab culture were selected to visit and exchange in Saudi Arabia and the UAE for 9 days.
The selected Korean students will experience Arab culture by visiting tourist attractions in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. They will also visit Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Ajman University in Ajman, UAE, to have exchange sessions with local university students.
An S-OIL official said, "Through this Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program, we hope Korean university students will deepen their understanding of the Arab region and culture and grow into global leaders," adding, "We hope the S-OIL Science and Culture Foundation will serve as a bridge for cultural exchange between Korea and the Arab world."
