93 Billion Won Invested in Renovation
Convenience and Safety Secured
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Sunghyun, YGPA) announced on the 11th that it has completed the maintenance work on the Nakpo Government Vessel Pier located in Nakpo-dong, Yeosu, and conducted the final inspection.
The Nakpo Government Vessel Pier is a port facility where government vessels, tugboats, and oil spill response vessels entering and leaving Gwangyang Port (Yeocheon area) are stationed. Due to aging facilities, its use had been partially restricted.
YGPA stated that over the past three years, it has collected feedback from users of the government vessel pier and secured the pier's safety by rebuilding the quay wall and adding more berths, allowing small vessels to dock safely.
Kwon Dongjin, Vice President of Development Projects, said, "This maintenance work has alleviated inconveniences for users of the government vessel pier and ensured safety," adding, "We will continue to enhance convenience and safety for users of Yeosu Gwangyang Port facilities."
