Gangnam-gu Mayor Joseongmyeong Travels Across 22 Neighborhoods to Promote 'Future 100-Year Innovation Policy'
Held Nine Times from the 13th to the 27th of This Month
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold the ‘2025 Gangnam-gu District Report Meeting’ from the 13th to the 27th of this month, where the district mayor will meet residents directly to announce and communicate ‘Innovative Policies Preparing for Gangnam’s Next 100 Years.’

View original imageAt this report meeting, the main policy directions and implementation plans will be explained to residents, focusing on Gangnam-gu’s five major innovative policies: innovative urban redesign, revitalization of the local economy, establishment of a global standard safe city, welfare without discrimination, and the creation of a unique culture in Gangnam together with residents.
In particular, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Gangnam-gu’s establishment, and a special program involving residents has been prepared. Residents’ hopeful messages will be collected on wish cards to create a ‘Wish Tree,’ and the district mayor will read these messages on-site to communicate with the residents.
Additionally, a ‘Our Neighborhood Story Photo Exhibition’ highlighting Gangnam’s past and present will be held, providing an opportunity to see Gangnam’s changes and development at a glance.
The district report meetings will be held nine times in total, grouping the 22 neighborhoods of Gangnam-gu into 2 to 3 neighborhoods per session. The 1st session will be for Nonhyeon 2, Yeoksam 1, and Yeoksam 2 neighborhoods on the 13th at the Yeoksam 1 Cultural Center, 3rd floor theater; the 2nd session for Gaepo 1, Gaepo 2, and Gaepo 4 neighborhoods on the 14th at Poi Elementary School Multimedia Room; the 3rd session for Gaepo 3, Irwonbon, and Irwon 1 neighborhoods on the 25th at Jungdong High School Auditorium; the 4th session for Suseo and Segok neighborhoods on the 18th at Segok Cultural Center, 3rd floor auditorium; the 5th session for Samsung 1, Samsung 2, and Daechi 2 neighborhoods on the 19th at Daechi 2 Cultural Center, 3rd floor auditorium; the 6th session for Dogok 1 and Dogok 2 neighborhoods on the 20th at the Military Mutual Aid Association Hall, 3rd floor Mugunghwa Hall; the 7th session for Daechi 1 and Daechi 4 neighborhoods on the 21st at Daechi 4 Cultural Center, 5th floor auditorium; the 8th session for Apgujeong and Cheongdam neighborhoods on the 24th at Cheongdam Lifelong Learning Center, 4th floor auditorium; and the 9th session for Sinsa and Nonhyeon 1 neighborhoods on the 27th at Nonhyeon 1 Cultural Center, 5th floor auditorium. All sessions start at 3 p.m., and any resident interested in district affairs can participate.

District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong emphasized, “This district report meeting is a meaningful occasion to prepare for Gangnam’s next 100 years together with residents on the 50th anniversary of Gangnam-gu’s establishment,” adding, “Gangnam’s growth into a city representing South Korea was all thanks to the strength of its residents.” He continued, “We will continue to communicate with residents and create a better future city, Gangnam.”
