The Culture and Environment Committee of Gumi City Council in Gyeongbuk announced on the 7th that they visited the Yeongdeok-gun Marine Environment Experience Center and the Renewable Energy Exhibition Hall in Gyeongbuk to hear about their operational status and tour the main facilities.

View original imageThe Marine Environment Experience Center is a facility operated by the National Youth Marine Environment Experience Center, providing youth with opportunities to experience marine culture through four programs: marine safety, marine exploration, polar research, and ship navigation.
The Renewable Energy Exhibition Hall, located within the Yeongdeok Wind Power Complex, exhibits the principles of renewable energy generation using solar, wind, water, and geothermal energy. It is equipped with a solar-heated Iris foot bath, an outdoor playground, and an East Coast coastal observatory, allowing visitors to experience the usability of renewable energy and the surrounding scenery.
The Culture and Environment Committee members discussed plans to revitalize exhibition and experience facilities within Gumi City, stating that "it is necessary to expand interesting and diverse programs that citizens and tourists can enjoy."
