Hoban Cultural Foundation Hosts Emerging Artist Competition
Grand Prize of 30 Million KRW, Total Awards of 50 Million KRW
Supporting Young Artists and Contributing to the Development of the Cultural and Artistic Community
Hoban Cultural Foundation announced on the 4th that it will hold the ‘2025 H-EAA: HOBAN-Emerging Artist Awards’ (hereinafter ‘H-EAA’) to discover and nurture promising young artists in Korea. This competition aims to promote the development of the cultural and artistic community by providing emerging artists with exhibition opportunities and various support.
The competition is open to artists holding Korean nationality aged between 28 and 45, who have held solo or group exhibitions within the past three years. The competition covers all fields of visual arts, and applications can be submitted through the Hoban Cultural Foundation website until March 10.
Selected artists in the ‘2025 H-EAA’ will receive a total prize of 50 million KRW and exhibition opportunities. The prize money is divided into Grand Prize (1 person) 30 million KRW, Excellence Award (1 person) 10 million KRW, and Selected Artist Award (5 persons) 2 million KRW each. The selected works will be showcased in a curated exhibition at the newly opened Hoban Atrium in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, from June to August.
