Samsung Securities "Industry's First Online Shareholders' Meeting Service for Unlisted Companies Introduced"
Samsung Securities announced on the 4th that it has expanded its 'Online Electronic Voting System' service from listed companies to unlisted companies.
Samsung Securities' 'Online General Meeting Platform' is the only online electronic voting system provided to corporate clients among securities firms. Since its launch in 2020, 920 listed companies have been using it over five years. Starting this year, the service has been expanded to unlisted companies for the first time in the industry, allowing promising startup companies to easily utilize it.
By using Samsung Securities' electronic voting system, shareholders can conveniently exercise their voting rights on agenda items of the general meeting online, which previously required shareholders to visit the meeting venue in person or send their votes by mail.
Samsung Securities assigns dedicated staff to each company applying for the 'Online General Meeting Platform' to provide customized support for detailed execution and operation, ensuring smooth hosting of general meetings. From the shareholders' perspective, voting rights can be exercised through a simple shareholder authentication process, and all related information about the company's general meeting can be accessed at once.
The CFO of an automotive parts company that has been using Samsung Securities' Online General Meeting Platform since its inception stated, "The Online General Meeting Platform enhances convenience for shareholders, and thanks to comprehensive support related to the general meeting, the management team’s satisfaction has also increased."
The scale of capital increases and block deals conducted by companies contracted with the Online General Meeting Platform and Samsung Securities has exceeded 1.5 trillion KRW, establishing the online general meeting service as a killer content in Samsung Securities' corporate sales.
As companies' needs for various financial advisory services such as fundraising and mergers and acquisitions grow, the number of corporate clients using Samsung Securities' total solutions for corporations is increasing. In response, Samsung Securities connects its major departments to provide customized services that meet corporate needs, including corporate fundraising, management, investor relations meetings, and general meeting operation support. Additionally, it offers representative corporate services such as CEO, CFO, and Next CEO forums, as well as seminars and forum services like KSS IR DAY for corporate clients.
