On the 3rd, Daejeon City held the closing ceremony for the "Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign," a symbol of year-end and New Year's donation culture, with Mayor Lee Jangwoo of Daejeon, Chairman Cho Wonhui of the Daejeon City Council, and Chairman Yoo Jaeuk of the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea in attendance.
The Sharing Campaign, which kicked off with an opening ceremony at Daejeon Nammun Square on December 1 last year, raised 7.18 billion won over 62 days, surpassing its target amount of 6.79 billion won.
Mayor Lee Jangwoo of Daejeon said, "Despite uncertain domestic and international economic conditions, I deeply appreciate the passionate support of our citizens, which raised the Love Thermometer above 100 degrees to a boiling 105.8 degrees."
The donations collected through the Sharing Campaign will be used to support low-income groups in Daejeon through the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea.
