Through this contest, the city plans to promote the project with about 5 billion KRW of national funding support.
Pohang City plans to build 28 detached houses and community convenience facilities for young returnees to farming and rural areas in the Maesan-ri area of Heunghae-eup. The project site is located near Heunghae Seobu Elementary School and its attached kindergarten, which is expected to play an important role in solving housing and childcare issues for young people.
In addition, the city intends to provide systematic support so that young returnees to farming and rural areas can take root stably in the countryside by linking with the nearby Agricultural Technology Center.
This project is expected not only to support the stable settlement of young farmers but also to contribute to population inflow and economic revitalization in rural areas. In particular, Pohang City plans to create a sustainable rural development model led by young farmers starting with this project.
Besides this project, the city is promoting the supply of public housing in various ways to improve the housing conditions of youth and workers, including ▲selection for job-linked support housing contest ▲construction of youth stepping-stone housing ▲re-leasing of public housing owned by LH, and plans to continuously expand youth housing support projects to create a Pohang where talent can stay by improving youth settlement conditions.
