View original imageAn explosion occurred on the 2nd floor of a five-story villa in Sangpyeong-dong, Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, at around 11:35 a.m. on the day of Seollal, the 29th.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, five residents from other units evacuated due to the explosion, and a man in his 30s living in the villa's 2nd-floor unit sustained second-degree burns over his entire body and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The explosion damaged the glass windows and exterior walls of the villa's 2nd and 3rd floors, interior furniture, and window frames of surrounding buildings.
