Acting Chief Choi Orders Epidemiological Investigation and Quarantine Measures for African Swine Fever
Choi Sang-mok, Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister as well as Minister of Strategy and Finance, instructed related ministries on the 28th to thoroughly investigate the cause of the African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak that occurred in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province through an epidemiological investigation.
Acting President Choi ordered the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to flawlessly implement quarantine measures according to the emergency action guidelines, including access control to the affected farms, intensive disinfection, culling, and temporary suspension of movement.
