To prevent wildfires, the city is operating 23 unmanned wildfire surveillance cameras monitoring day and night, and has deployed approximately 149 wildfire prevention personnel to vulnerable areas such as cemeteries and major hiking trails to enhance monitoring and enforcement. Additionally, wildfire suppression helicopters are on standby, and an emergency communication system has been organized to ensure immediate dispatch for wildfire suppression upon occurrence.
Furthermore, wildfire suppression vehicles and equipment are being inspected for immediate use, and education and training are being conducted for wildfire monitors and suppression teams. The city also plans to strengthen cooperation with related agencies such as fire stations, police stations, national forest management offices, and military units to ensure thorough wildfire response.
Moreover, since most wildfire causes stem from unauthorized burning, the city plans to intensively crack down on burning activities near forest areas and will take strong measures such as imposing fines upon detection.
