Pyeongtaek City "SME Support Policies in One Place"... Business Briefing Session to Be Held on the 18th of Next Month
Aiming to Discover and Support 300 Companies in Strategic Industries and Root Enterprises
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a large-scale business briefing session to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) struggling due to the worsening domestic and international business environment, including the economic downturn.
On the 23rd, Pyeongtaek City announced that it will hold a 'SME Support Project Briefing Session' on the 18th of next month at the Pyeongtaek N-Palace Convention to provide information on SME support policies, projects, and programs from the city and related organizations.
Through this briefing session, the city plans to discover and support about 300 companies by strengthening corporate capabilities in Pyeongtaek’s strategic industries such as semiconductors, hydrogen, future automobiles, and root companies.
The briefing session will be attended by nine related organizations, universities, and companies including Pyeongtaek City, Pyeongtaek Industrial Promotion Agency, Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency, Pyeongtaek Industrial Complex Management Corporation, Pyeongtaek Chamber of Commerce, Gyeonggi Technopark, Pyeongtaek University, Kookje University, Hankyong National University, Korea University of Technology and Education, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, and KOTITI Testing & Research Institute.
The event will feature presentations on successful cases of corporate support, explanations on financial support, business development, and support for each stage of corporate growth, along with one-on-one consultations tailored to customized support.
Previously, Pyeongtaek City achieved export contracts worth $17,901,000 and sales of 182 billion KRW from 153 companies through various support projects such as overseas market development last year.
Jung Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek, said, "Pyeongtaek has the potential to create new opportunities," adding, "We will do our utmost to recover the economy by fostering high value-added industries and providing diverse support to companies."
