In his first interview with the media from the presidential office since taking office, President Trump said, "I am good at finishing things. I ran a great election in 2016, and in 2020, I ran an even better election."
He also emphasized, "If I had received 40 to 60 million votes, I would never have run. But I received nearly 75 million votes, which is more than any incumbent president in history."
Trump added, "I like the concept of 'one big, beautiful bill,' but it is important to get the right outcome by any means," noting, "However, the situation in Los Angeles (LA) changed everything."

He also criticized the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), saying, "It has not performed properly over the past four years. When I was president, it was well managed. We had hurricanes in Florida and tornadoes in Alabama," he pointed out.
