Daejeon Fire Department Implements Special Fire Watch During Lunar New Year Holiday
All Fire Stations on Emergency Duty
Firefighting Equipment Maintained at 100% Operational Readiness
The Daejeon Fire Department announced that it will implement a "Special Fire Watch Duty" from January 24 to February 3 in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.
During this period, all fire stations will be on emergency duty, and firefighting equipment will be maintained at 100% operational readiness. The emergency contact system with related agencies will also be kept seamless.
In addition, to respond to an expected increase in 119 emergency calls, additional personnel will be assigned to the 119 General Situation Room, and the KakaoTalk channel "Daejeon Fire Department 119 General Situation Room" will be operated to provide information on hospitals and pharmacies.
A representative from the Fire Department stated, "As the Lunar New Year holiday is longer this year, we urge everyone to pay special attention to preventing fires and safety accidents at home and in the workplace," adding, "We will do our best to ensure a safe holiday."
