Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development Announces New Recruitment for Global Accelerating Support Project Host Institutions
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development announced on the 23rd that they are recruiting lead organizations for the 'Global Accelerating Support Project.'
Since 2023, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups has been collaborating with government ministries to support the global scale-up of domestic startups by assessing their potential to enter overseas markets and helping them establish a stable presence abroad through the 'Global Accelerating Support Project.'
This year, lead organizations under government ministries with expertise in global startup ecosystems and securing local collaboration partners will be recruited and selected. Interested organizations must select target countries and specialized industry sectors where they can support domestic startups and propose overseas accelerator partners to operate programs lasting more than 10 weeks.
The selected lead organizations will recruit and select promising global startups aiming to expand overseas and support a total of 140 startups in collaboration with the proposed accelerators and partners based on the proposed programs.
Last year, eight organizations from seven ministries participated in the Global Accelerating Support Project, reflecting the industrial characteristics of each ministry to help domestic startups enter overseas markets.
