Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City attended the regular general meeting of the Yangju Social Economy Council (Chairman Kim Ji-an) held at ‘Pulmeong Park’ in Baekseok-eup on the 21st.

View original imageAccording to Yangju City on the 22nd, the event was attended by about 70 people, including Mayor Kang Su-hyun, council member companies, and related institution officials, and proceeded in the order of △Meritorious Award Ceremony △Chairman Inauguration Ceremony △Vision Declaration △Local Commercial District Revitalization Campaign.
At the meritorious award ceremony, a total of 12 individuals and groups received commendations, all of whom were recognized for their dedicated efforts in advancing the social economy within the region.
Following this, the inauguration ceremony of Kim Ji-an, who was selected as the new chairman of the Yangju Social Economy Council to promote the social economy model in the area and work towards a better society this year, took place.
Chairman Kim Ji-an declared the council’s future vision, stating, “The social economy is an important field that contributes to community development beyond mere economic profit. Going forward, I will do my best to make Yangju City the center of the social economy and create an environment where social enterprises and cooperatives can achieve both community and economic development simultaneously.”
Mayor Kang Su-hyun responded in his congratulatory speech, saying, “The social economy plays a vital role in improving citizens’ quality of life by creating economic and social value in the local community. Our Yangju City plans to provide active support to ensure continuous achievements in the social economy sector.”
He also stated, “We will promote various policies to revitalize local commercial districts and create jobs, striving to make the social economy a key driving force for regional development.”
Additionally, the ‘Local Commercial District Revitalization Campaign’ aimed at stabilizing people’s livelihoods and revitalizing the local economy amid difficult economic conditions was promoted, drawing attention.
Participants enthusiastically waved banners and placards, demonstrating a united commitment to revitalizing the local economy, and the event reportedly concluded successfully amid great cheers and enthusiasm.
