View original imageThe Camp Colbern urban development project is a public-private joint urban development initiative aimed at creating a convergence complex to strengthen Hanam City's self-sustaining functions, such as future-oriented advanced industries, on the approximately 250,000㎡ site of the former US military return area, Camp Colbern, located in the Hasangok-dong area.
Mayor Lee said, “On December 11 last year, we posted the 'Camp Colbern Complex Self-Sustaining District (tentative name) Urban Development Project Private Participant Recruitment Announcement.' As a result of receiving letters of intent to participate in the project, 21 companies submitted their letters of intent,” adding, “We will make every effort to select a preferred negotiation partner this year.”
Additionally, Mayor Lee introduced plans to rebuild the aging Cheonhyeon-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
The mayor said, “Many residents have expressed their desire for a new building as the Cheonhyeon-dong Administrative Welfare Center has become outdated,” and added, “We are currently proceeding with plans to build a new Cheonhyeon-dong Administrative Welfare Center within the public land of the Camp Colbern urban development project.”
He also shared news regarding the repaving of old roads and sidewalks, stating that the construction will be completed by May this year.
Mayor Lee sincerely listened to various opinions and current issues from residents and actively communicated with them. Regarding the approximately 100-year-old spring located at San 19, Cheonhyeon-dong, he responded to residents’ requests by saying, “We will establish a manual to regularly test the water quality so that residents can safely drink the water.”
