'Broken' Invited to Non-Competitive Section at Glasgow Film Festival, UK
Pre-sold to 158 Countries Including France and Japan
The film 'Broken' has been invited to the non-competitive section of the Glasgow Film Festival in the UK, distributor Barunson E&A announced on the 21st.
The Glasgow Film Festival, considered one of the UK's representative film festivals, will be held from February 26 to March 9. Korean films such as Secret Zoo (2020), Voice of Silence (2020), and Sleep (2023) have previously been invited. 'Broken' is the only Korean film invited this year.
Alison Gardner, director of the Glasgow Film Festival, praised 'Broken' saying, "The thriller, mystery, and crime elements are excellently blended," and added, "The actors' outstanding performances and the tense twists captivate the audience."
The film is set to be released domestically on March 5 and has been pre-sold to all Asian countries including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, India, and Mongolia, as well as to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, including France, Spain, and the CIS Baltic region, and worldwide airlines.

'Broken' tells the story of a man racing to uncover the truth of a night intertwined with his brother who returned as a corpse, his missing wife, and a bestselling novel that predicted the incident. Actors Ha Jung-woo and Kim Nam-gil star in the film, directed by Kim Jin-hwang, who helmed The Shepherds (2016).
