Court Issues Warrant Citing "Risk of Flight"
A man in his 50s who injured a police officer by throwing a walkie-talkie during a rally calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol has been arrested.
On the 21st, the police announced that they had arrested A, a member of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), on charges of special obstruction of official duties causing injury.
A is accused of snatching a walkie-talkie and throwing it at a police officer's head, causing a laceration on the forehead, during a standoff with police near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 4th.
