Using 'A.Dot' as the Default Phone App on iPhone Too
With the latest update of the iPhone operating system (iOS), SK Telecom's AI-based calling service 'A.Dot' can now be set as the default calling application.
According to SK Telecom A.Dot's announcement on the 21st, when updating to iOS version 18.2 and the latest version of the A.Dot app, users can designate A.Dot as the default calling app on their iPhones.
This feature, which was previously available only to Android users, is now accessible to iPhone users as well. Previously, when iPhone users clicked on a phone number in websites, map apps, or messengers, it automatically connected to the iPhone's default phone app, and to use the AI calling feature, they had to separately launch the A.Dot app.

For example, if users wanted to record a call, such as when making a restaurant reservation, they had to copy the number and paste it into the A.Dot app. Now, users can simply click on a phone number in any app and immediately use A.Dot's AI features.
