Kakao's Nationwide AlimTalk Effect 'TokTok'... Public Innovation Achievements Announced
Publication of the 'Public Innovation Report 2024'
Kakao announced on the 20th that it has published the 'Public Innovation Report 2024,' which compiles cases where its services have improved administrative efficiency and reduced budgets.
This report includes cases where Kakao Group's services have been used as foundational platforms to solve social issues such as reducing administrative costs, increasing work efficiency, bridging information gaps, and responding to civil complaints.
For example, the report introduced the operation of a local tax delinquency notification service using KakaoTalk AlimTalk. Nowon-gu District in Seoul implemented a local tax refund notification service based on KakaoTalk, and within one month of operation, more than 200 million KRW out of 300 million KRW in refunds were returned.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Center for Mental Health, in collaboration with Kakao Healthcare, provide a depression self-assessment service through the 'Mind Health Chatbot.' The National Fire Agency offers free emergency medical consultation services via the KakaoTalk channel for overseas Koreans, creating an environment where civil complaints can be addressed anytime and anywhere.
The broadcast messaging system operated in cooperation with the National Police Agency is used to quickly and effectively deliver urgent notices such as disaster situations. The National Police Agency sent 955,000 emergency messages using the broadcast messaging system, enhancing public convenience and contributing to improved accessibility.
A Kakao representative stated, "We will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders to promote more active public innovation and ensure platform users can safely enjoy the benefits of technology."
