'Yoon Detention Hearing' Unauthorized Entry Over West District Court Wall... 17 Arrested
Seventeen individuals, presumed to be supporters of President Yoon Suk-yeol, unlawfully entered the Seoul Western District Court, where the president's pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review) was taking place, and were apprehended by the police.
According to the police, at around 5:24 p.m. on the 18th, a man climbed over the back gate fence of the Western District Court and trespassed onto the court premises, where he was arrested on the spot. The man shouted, "Whether the communists die or I die, I will see this through," and "They are trying to arrest the president, and the country is in a desperate crisis."
The Mapo Police Station plans to apply charges of trespassing against the man and investigate the specific circumstances.
After this man was taken away, an additional 16 people climbed over the court fence and were also apprehended by the police.

Supporters gathered around the court are surrounding the court after President Yoon's attendance at the warrant review, shouting slogans such as "Impeachment invalid," and "Release the president." The police's unofficial estimate of the crowd size was 36,000 as of 5:40 p.m.
