Temperatures Expected to Rise from Midday, Easing the Cold
On Saturday the 18th, many places, especially in the central region and Jeonbuk, will experience icy roads and frozen patches as the snow accumulated in subzero temperatures freezes over.
The cold will continue until morning, but temperatures will rise from midday, making it relatively mild. Morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -11 and 1 degrees Celsius. Afternoon highs will range from 5 to 13 degrees Celsius, above the average for this time of year.
By region, the temperatures are expected as follows: ▲Seoul -4 to 7°C ▲Incheon -3 to 5°C ▲Suwon -5 to 7°C ▲Chuncheon -10 to 5°C ▲Gangneung 1 to 11°C ▲Cheongju -4 to 7°C ▲Daejeon -5 to 8°C ▲Sejong -5 to 7°C ▲Jeonju -4 to 9°C ▲Gwangju -3 to 9°C ▲Daegu -4 to 11°C ▲Busan 1 to 11°C ▲Ulsan -3 to 13°C ▲Changwon -1 to 10°C ▲Jeju 2 to 11°C.
The country will be mostly clear, but clouds will increase from the afternoon. Fine dust levels will be 'Bad' in Seoul, while other regions will range from 'Good' to 'Moderate'. Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong, and Yeongnam regions are expected to have 'Bad' levels in the morning and at night.
From dawn to morning, dense fog will form in the inland northern Gyeonggi area. Fog reducing visibility below 1 km will occur in the inland southern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and Chungbuk.

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. In the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 1.0 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea.
