Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Selected as Operating Agency for 'Youth Job Leap Incentive'
7.2 Million KRW Provided for 6 Months of Employment Retention
Additional 4.8 Million KRW Support for 18 Months of Continuous Service
Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (President Jung Hyuntaek) announced on the 17th that it has recently been selected by the Ministry of Employment and Labor as an operating agency for the '2025 Youth Job Leap Incentive Program' and will officially begin operations on the 23rd.
The 'Youth Job Leap Incentive Program' supports companies with five or more employees that hire young people struggling to find employment as regular workers and maintain their employment for more than six months, providing up to 7.2 million KRW. In addition, young employees in companies with job vacancies are eligible for an additional 4.8 million KRW if they remain employed for more than 18 months.
Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been running the Youth Job Leap Incentive Program since 2022, and for 2025, it has been selected as the sole operating agency in Mokpo. In addition, the Chamber has promoted various job creation projects such as the Future Tomorrow Job Experience Program, the Youth Tomorrow Filling Deduction Program, and the Senior Internship Program, supporting various groups including youth, middle-aged, and senior citizens.
A representative from Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated, "With the economy becoming more difficult and youth jobs decreasing significantly, this program will help expand youth employment and facilitate job opportunities for young people facing employment challenges," adding, "We hope to revitalize the local economy by promoting youth employment."
