Prior to the event, the workshop began with a support event by the participants to raise interest and support among residents for North Jeolla Province's bid to host the 2036 Summer Olympics.

The workshop, which consisted of three parts, started with the first part sharing the progress report of the 1st HowWow Future Camp and introducing the 2nd program and operation plan, discussing content and resource support measures aligned with the camp’s purpose.

The second part featured a special lecture by Yeom Kyunghyung, Director of the Job Center of North Jeolla Province (Head of the Jobs and Livelihood Division at the North Jeolla Province Economic and Trade Promotion Agency), under the theme ‘Suggestions Based on Regional-Led Youth Employment Cases’.

In the third part, participants discussed the roles and cooperation plans of each institution, organizing the roles each partner institution will take on in the camp based on their expertise, and explored various ways to collaborate in the future.

HaWooWow Future Camp Project Director Lee Haewon (Vice President for Industry-Academia Cooperation at Jeonju University) said, “I am very pleased that this workshop has further strengthened our cooperative relationships with each institution and enabled us to provide more practical and meaningful programs for young people,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to nurture talents needed for the future society through collaboration with various institutions.”

Meanwhile, HaWooWow Future Camp, with the slogan ‘Growing Together, Succeeding Together, We Are the Future!’, was launched on August 27 last year as the nation’s first local government-led industry-academia cooperation talent development program. It consists of 45 mentors, including CEOs, researchers, professors, and public institution executives, and 100 mentees who are third-year or higher students from major universities in the province, including Jeonju University, Jeonbuk National University, Wonkwang University, and Kunsan National University.

The program is divided into advanced/energy/mobility, bio/agriculture and life sciences, and ICT/culture/startup fields, providing opportunities for self-development and career exploration through mentoring between mentors and mentees, institutional field trips, and forums. It is a program that offers practical support to help participants realize their dreams.
