New Courses Reflecting Latest Trends Such as "AI," "VR," and "Coding"

Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) Fusion Talent Education Center announced that it is operating a special science program for elementary, middle, and high school students in the area during the winter vacation.
The Fusion Talent Education Center supports young people to grow into creative science talents who will lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution era through education based on advanced science and technology.
This winter vacation program, themed "Exciting Winter Vacation, Spend It Rewardingly with Engineering Experience Learning!", has newly established various courses reflecting the latest trends such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and coding, as well as areas of interest for youth.
The special courses consist of a total of 8 courses: 5 for elementary students and 3 for middle and high school students. The elementary courses include ▲Coding First Steps ▲AI Robot ▲VR Coding ▲Woodworking Maker, among others.
The courses are conducted focusing on creative experiential activities such as designing your own theme park using Virtual Reality (VR) technology and producing woodworking items using 3D modeling.
The middle and high school courses include hands-on classes such as ▲Data Analysis Using Python ▲Smart Car Production through Electronic Circuit Practice, designed to allow youth to directly experience future science and technology and explore career paths.
The elementary courses run for 4 weeks on specific days from January 6 to February 17, and the middle and high school courses operate for 2 weeks from January 13 to 24. All courses are held at the "Yeongdeungpo-gu Fusion Talent Education Center" located in the public complex building in Singil 6-dong.
Especially this year, a "Career Experience Classroom" for middle and high school students has been newly established, offering various experiential programs on the themes of robotics and artificial intelligence. The Career Experience Classroom is held once quarterly, with the first special lecture scheduled for February 17. This lecture will feature a digital design experience program where participants create their own treasure box using a laser cutter.
