The ‘Rural ESG Practice Recognition System’ is a program that evaluates and recognizes institutions’ win-win cooperation with rural areas and ESG practice activities for the sustainable development of agriculture, fisheries, and rural communities.
This selection proves that BPA is continuously expanding its win-win cooperation with rural areas and ESG practices, and is evaluated as an important achievement contributing to the regional economy and the creation of social value.
Busan Port Authority actively participated in the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries’ seafood consumption promotion through its participation in seafood consumption promotion projects, and has worked hard to support specialized assistance for fishing villages near Busan Port, such as supporting market development for fishing villages and scholarship programs for fishermen’s children.
In particular, BPA actively participated in the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries’ fishing village vacant house regeneration project, inducing stable settlement in fishing villages and responding to government policies addressing the disappearance of fishing villages.
