POSCO Pohang Steelworks has strengthened communication with team leaders to create a safer workplace.
At the 'Safety Dialogue with Team Leaders' event held on the 15th at Pohang Hyoja Art Hall, CEO Dongryeol Lee and other executives, along with about 400 team leaders, shared various opinions on safety.

View original imageThis event was organized as an effort to establish an autonomous safety culture by directly listening to the voices of team leaders responsible for safety on site and spreading the company’s management policy that safety is the top priority, aiming to prevent safety accidents through communication.
The safety management system at Pohang Steelworks operates as a structured system that includes compliance with the 10 safety rules, planned safety management, and routine identification of risk factors.
Through this system, Pohang Steelworks has built a framework that enables all employees to actively participate in safety activities and provides various education and training programs.
CEO Dongryeol Lee of Pohang Steelworks said, “Safety is the highest value that cannot be exchanged for anything else and a promise that must be kept,” adding, “Let us thoroughly operate the safety management system based on the CAPD cycle of Check, Act, Plan, Do to create a safety culture without overlap or omission.”
