Muan County Launches Initiative to Attract Ceramic Industry Small Business Support Center
Briefing Session Held and Preparations Begin for Project Application
Muan County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim San) announced on the 16th that it held a briefing session on the 15th for attracting the 2025 Small Business Complex Support Center establishment and operation project at the meeting room on the first floor of the dormitory in Cheonggye Industrial Complex.
This briefing session was organized as part of the county's key initiative to vitalize the 'Muan Ceramic Complex Industry Special Zone.' About 20 people attended, including officials from the Mokpo National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, Jeonnam Technopark, local ceramic company representatives, and small ceramic business owners. During the session, participants engaged in heated discussions about the necessity of attracting the Muan Ceramic Complex Support Center and the development direction of the ceramic industry.

View original imageIn particular, this year’s Small Business Complex Support Center support project emphasizes cooperation and joint operation between small businesses and SMEs. Attendees agreed that if the Complex Support Center is attracted, it will serve as an important opportunity for 75 Muan ceramic companies to achieve unity and mutual growth in the local ceramic industry.
After the briefing session, a business agreement ceremony was held to establish a mutual cooperation system between small ceramic businesses and SMEs and to jointly pursue cooperative projects for the development of the ceramic industry.
The agreement included content that the Muan County ceramic industry will open new possibilities for the ceramic industry through mutual cooperation, joint research, and market development, thereby creating a synergistic effect.
Lee Hyehyang, head of the Regional Economy Division, said, "Through this occasion, we discussed the future of the Muan ceramic industry and gathered intentions to cooperate together," and added, "We will do our utmost to attract the 2025 Small Business Complex Support Center establishment and operation project so that the Muan ceramic industry can achieve greater leaps forward."
