Learning Silla History through Braille and Audio... Sensory Book Published
Explanation of the Historical Significance and Excavated Artifacts of Major Relics
The National Gyeongju Cultural Heritage Research Institute announced on the 16th that it has published a braille sensory book themed on the core relics of the Silla royal capital.
It is titled "Stories of the Core Relics of the Silla Royal Capital Read by Fingertips and Delivered by Sound." The book easily explains the historical significance and excavated artifacts of fourteen major sites, including Gyeongju Wolseong, the thousand-year-old capital of Silla, Hwangnyongsa Temple Site, Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, Cheomseongdae Observatory, and the Daereungwon area.
The book combines braille, tactile graphics, and audio narration, making it accessible to both visually impaired and sighted individuals. Actors Jung Jun-ho, Song Chae-hwan, Kim Na-woon, and Kim Tae-woo participated in the audio narration recordings. An official explained, "By using the accompanying sound pen or scanning the information pattern (QR code) with a mobile device, users can listen to the audio narration."

The institute distributes the book free of charge to schools for the blind and organizations related to the visually impaired nationwide. It is also available on the "National Heritage Knowledge Link" website operated by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage.
