Kiwoom Securities, Discount on Domestic Bond Trading Fees This Year
Kiwoom Securities announced on the 16th that it will continue to offer discounts on transaction fees for on-market bond trading this year.
Kiwoom Securities will apply a uniform 0% transaction fee for online on-market bond purchases or sales until the end of this year. Originally, transaction fees ranged from a minimum of 0% to a maximum of 0.15% depending on the remaining maturity of the bond, but since May 31 last year, the fee was temporarily reduced to 0%, and this will continue to be applied through 2025. However, investors must bear the related institution fees of 0.00519496% paid to KRX and the Korea Securities Depository.

To commemorate the bond fee discount, an event will also be held. Fifty investors who purchase bonds worth 500,000 KRW or more will be selected by lottery to receive U.S. stocks. Event registration is mandatory, and investors who purchase domestic bonds worth 500,000 KRW or more during the event period from the 3rd to March 31 will be eligible for the lottery. Ten winners each will receive one share credited to their accounts of Tesla, Amazon, Apple, Nvidia, and AMD. Kiwoom Securities will cover the miscellaneous income tax.
