'Lee Yeon-hee, Ahn So-hee, and others' star-studded cast... Directed by Jang Jin, 'The Secret of Flowers''
Director Jang Jin's play "The Secret of Flowers," returning to the stage for its 10th anniversary, is drawing attention with its dazzling cast.
From notable star actors such as Lee Yeon-hee, Ahn So-hee, Gong Seung-yeon, and Kim Seul-gi to established actors with solid reputations in TV and film like Lee El, Choi Young-jun, as well as veteran actors Jung Young-joo, Jang Young-nam, and Jo Jae-yoon, the production boasts a powerful casting lineup.
"The Secret of Flowers" is being staged for the fourth time following its premiere in 2015 and subsequent performances in 2016 and 2019. This run will open on February 8 at the Daehangno Link Art Center Bugs Hall and continue until May 11. The play is a comedy depicting the chaos caused by four married women from different generations in an Italian rural village who, while their husbands are away watching a soccer match, scheme to claim a large insurance payout. The work has been consistently loved since its premiere. Regarding the fourth performance after 10 years, Director Jang said he still feels a great burden.

The most eye-catching actors in this production are Lee Yeon-hee, Ahn So-hee, and Gong Seung-yeon, who play the third of the four married women, Monica. Although all are highly recognized by the public, their experience on the theater stage is relatively limited, making this a notable new challenge.
Lee Yeon-hee is returning to the theater stage for the second time in five years since "King Lear" in 2021, meeting audiences with this comeback work after giving birth in September last year. She shared, "I always wanted to work on a play directed by Director Jang Jin," and added, "I am honored to be part of such an enjoyable production."
Ahn So-hee is on her second stage following her first play "Closer" last year. She said, "I felt great exhilaration in the moment of breathing with the audience on stage," and expressed, "I am happy to meet the audience again through theater."
