[Click eStock] "CJ ENM, Positive Performance Expected in 2025"
Daishin Securities analyzed on the 16th that CJ ENM is expected to have positive performance this year.
Kim Hoe-jae, a researcher at Daishin Securities, stated in a report on the same day, "Q4 sales are expected to be 1.2 trillion KRW, a 3% decrease compared to the same period last year, but a 9% increase compared to the previous quarter, and operating profit is expected to be 74 billion KRW, a 26% increase year-on-year and a 367% increase quarter-on-quarter," adding, "The media/platform division is expected to generate 11.7 billion KRW, the film/drama division 19.3 billion KRW, the music division 17.2 billion KRW, and the commerce division 26.7 billion KRW, totaling an increase of 15.3 billion KRW compared to last year."
Researcher Kim also predicted, "The decline in the advertising market is entering its final stage, and advertising revenue is expected to increase by 14% year-on-year in 2025 due to the revival of weekday dramas."
Tving's Q4 subscribers are estimated to be 4.3 million, a decrease of 600,000 compared to the previous quarter. This is attributed to the end of the professional baseball season and the termination of the Naver membership partnership. However, Kim explained, "By the end of 2025, the number of subscribers is expected to recover to around 5 million," adding, "The re-entry of subscribers who left during the baseball off-season, promotions targeting Naver membership, introduction of advertising subscription plans, and policies prohibiting account sharing will have positive effects."
Tving's expected operating loss last year is 50.2 billion KRW, an improvement of 91.8 billion KRW compared to the previous year, and the loss is expected to continue improving to 11.1 billion KRW in 2025.
