Our Republican Party's Jo Won-jin: "Democratic Party's 'KakaoTalk Censorship' is a Declaration of War Against the People"
As the controversy over the Democratic Party's 'KakaoTalk censorship' grows, the Our Republican Party strongly criticized the Democratic Party's KakaoTalk censorship, which they said reflects North Korean communist-style thinking and amounts to a declaration of war against the people.
On the 14th, Our Republican Party leader Jo Won-jin issued a press release stating, "Democratic Party lawmaker Jeon Yong-gi's idea at a press conference that 'if fake news related to incitement of rebellion is spread via KakaoTalk, they will file a complaint' is truly North Korean communist-style thinking, viewing the people, the owners of the Republic of Korea, as subjects of surveillance," adding, "The arrogant and terrifying KakaoTalk censorship by the Democratic Party is effectively a declaration of war against the people. It can never be forgiven."
Leader Jo Won-jin said, "The idea they came up with, out of fear that public opinion opposing President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment is gradually growing, is nothing more than monitoring the private conversations of the people," and added, "Forgetting that the crime suspect Lee Jae-myung is the party leader and regarding the people as potential criminals is nothing but spitting on one's own face while lying down."
