It is imposed twice a year (March and September) on owners of diesel vehicles manufactured before July 2012.
If the annual prepayment application is made and the payment is made in a lump sum in January, a 10% discount on the payment amount can be received. The applicable period for the annual prepayment calculation is from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. If there is a change such as vehicle scrapping or address relocation after the prepayment, a refund can be received based on a pro-rata calculation for the remaining period.
For existing annual prepayment applicants, the annual prepayment notice will be automatically sent from mid-month, and if payment is not made within the prepayment deadline after application, the prepayment application will be canceled and the discount will not be applied.
Applications for annual prepayment can be made online via Wetax or by phone or visit to the Climate Crisis Response Division of Paju City Hall. Payments can be made through Wetax, Internet Giro, internet banking, dedicated virtual accounts, bank counters, or cash deposit/withdrawal machines (CD/ATM).
