Temperatures are expected to rise slightly this weekend, but the cold will not completely ease.

The minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities are ▲Seoul -8°C and 1°C ▲Incheon -8°C and 0°C ▲Daejeon -9°C and 2°C ▲Gwangju -5°C and 3°C ▲Daegu -8°C and 4°C ▲Busan -4°C and 5°C.
On Sunday the 12th, morning lows are forecasted between -15°C and 1°C, with daytime highs ranging from -1°C to 7°C. Although temperatures this weekend are expected to be somewhat higher than on the 10th, they will still fall short of average levels.
Snow is expected mainly in Chungnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeju over the weekend. Starting from the afternoon of the 11th, snow will begin falling in the Chungnam West Coast area, with snow flurries expected in the southern Gyeonggi West Coast, inland Chungnam, and Jeonbuk West Coast regions. On the 12th, snow or rain is forecast to alternate in Jeju, and snow is expected between dawn and morning along the Chungnam and Jeonbuk West Coast as well as the northern Jeonnam West Coast.
Expected snowfall amounts are ▲Jeju mountain area 5?10 cm (up to 15 cm or more) ▲Jeonbuk West Coast 3?10 cm △Chungnam West Coast, Jeonnam West Coast, Jeju mid-mountain area 1?5 cm ▲Southern inland Jeonbuk, Gwangju, central inland Jeonnam around 1 cm. The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "Roads may be slippery in areas where snow falls, so please be cautious about traffic safety."
Gangwon Yeongdong and eastern Gyeongsang are maintaining very dry atmospheric conditions. Strong winds are expected mainly along the East Coast, increasing the risk of large fires, so special caution is required. Some parts of the Seoul metropolitan area and Yeongnam region are also experiencing dry conditions, necessitating thorough fire prevention measures.
Additionally, high waves will be generated along the East Coast until the 12th, increasing the risk of accidents caused by swell. It is especially important to avoid approaching rocky shores or coastal roads and to pay attention to safety. In the outer seas east of the South Sea and south of Jeju, winds will blow strongly at 30?60 km/h until early morning on the 11th, and waves are expected to reach heights of 1.5?4.0 meters. Winds and waves are also expected to intensify again from the 12th in the East Sea outer waters, south of Jeju, and the outer eastern South Sea.
