Gochang County Accepting Applications for 'Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project' Until the 3rd of Next Month

Fostering Regionally Specialized Crops
Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 10th that it will be accepting applications for the New Year Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project until the 3rd of next month.
This pilot project aims to increase farm income through the dissemination of new agricultural technologies and the cultivation of regionally specialized crops, with a total investment of 3.2 billion won, including subsidies and self-financing.
The project consists of 38 initiatives across six sectors: ▲ Four projects in the agricultural management sector, including the establishment of successful models for novice young farmers ▲ Eight projects in the living resources sector, such as support for improving the quality of agricultural product processing facilities ▲ Nine projects in the environmental agriculture sector, including pilot projects for the production and expanded distribution of high-quality new rice varieties ▲ Thirteen projects in the economic crops sector, such as support for the development of small watermelon brands ▲ Three projects in the specialized crops sector, including pilot projects for the application of simple rain shelters for Bokbunja (Korean black raspberry) ▲ And pilot projects for on-site demonstration cultivation of healthy Bokbunja seedlings in the new technology research sector.
Eligible applicants are farmers and agricultural organizations (research groups, agricultural corporations, etc.) registered as agricultural management entities.
Applications can be submitted by filling out the project application form and visiting the Agricultural Technology Center's relevant team or township/district agricultural counseling office, or by registered mail or email.
The county plans to select the final project participants through a review by the Agricultural Industry-Academia Cooperative Deliberation Committee.
Hyun Haengyeol, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "Through this project, we will do our best to distribute agricultural technologies that respond to climate change, enhance farm income, strengthen the competitiveness of local agriculture, and establish a sustainable agricultural foundation by supporting low-carbon agricultural technologies."
