The 19th Changnyeong Bugok Oncheon Marathon to be Held on March 15
From Changnyeong Bugok, South Korea's First Hot Spring City
Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will hold the "19th Changnyeong Bugok Oncheon Marathon" on Saturday, March 15.
Hosted by the Changnyeong-gun Sports Council and organized by Gyeongnam Newspaper, with support from Gyeongsangnam-do, Changnyeong-gun, and the Changnyeong-gun Council, this event will take place against the backdrop of Bugok Oncheon, Korea's first hot spring city. The marathon will proceed along a fantastic course following the beautiful Nakdong River.
Notably, this year’s event has changed the gathering place to Changnyeong Sports Park Field 5, offering richer attractions and experiences. Participants will assemble by 9:00 AM, with the half marathon starting at 9:30 AM, the 10 km course at 9:40 AM, and the 5 km course at 9:50 AM.
All participants will receive a free hot spring bath ticket, and a variety of programs are prepared, including face painting, a family event with a lucky roulette, eggs boiled in 78℃ Bugok Oncheon water, various free food offerings, and discounted sales of local agricultural and specialty products.
Registration for the marathon can be done through the official website, where application forms can also be downloaded and submitted via fax.
