The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 9th that it will conduct the '2025 Integrated Announcement for the Promotion of Women-Owned Businesses' to strengthen the capabilities of women-owned businesses and support their global expansion.
This year, KRW 10.49 billion will be allocated to women-only projects consisting of 10 programs in three areas: women entrepreneurship, market access for women-owned businesses, and women workforce. Women entrepreneurship provides startup spaces and consulting necessary for business management to women entrepreneurs through 18 women startup incubation centers nationwide. In addition, the eligibility for the 'Women Entrepreneurship Competition' has been expanded, and initial commercialization funds will be provided to winners. For companies wishing to expand globally, the 'Women Entrepreneurship Accelerating' program, which supports practical training and promotion in export target countries, will be expanded.
To secure the domestic market for women-owned businesses, support will be provided for listing women-owned products on home shopping and online platforms, and starting this year, booth fees will also be supported when participating in exhibitions for daily necessities. Furthermore, the mandatory purchase system for women-owned products by public institutions will continue to help women-owned businesses enter the public procurement market.
Through the 'Customized Workforce Matching Platform for Women-Owned Businesses,' women-owned businesses will be connected with professionals to alleviate workforce shortages. Additionally, the 'Women-Owned Business Management Difficulty Support Center,' where women-owned businesses facing management difficulties can consult with senior women CEOs and other experts, will be expanded.
