Myongji University Holds Inauguration Service for 13th President Im Yeon-su
Myongji University announced on the 8th that it held an inauguration service for the 13th President, Lim Yeon-su, at the International Conference Hall of the Bangmok Academic Information Center. President Lim's term began on the 1st and will last for three years.

View original imageThe inauguration service was attended by about 150 people, including Seo Seong-won, Acting Chairman of the Myongji Foundation Board, Pastor Lee Jae-hoon of Onnuri Church and a board member of the Myongji Foundation, Kim Jin-cheol, President of the General Alumni Association, and Kwon Doo-seung, President of Myongji College. The ceremony proceeded in the order of hymn singing, prayer, sermon, appointment letter and school flag presentation, inaugural address, exhortation, congratulatory song, and benediction.
In his inaugural address, President Lim stated, “I will create a university where members feel pride,” and expressed his ambition to “overcome obstacles to university development, maximize potential, and achieve substantial growth.”

President Lim Yeon-su graduated from the College of Engineering at Seoul National University and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in engineering from Clemson University in the United States. Since being appointed as a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Myongji University in 1995, he has contributed to the university's development by serving in various positions such as Director of Graduate School Academic Affairs, Chairman of the University Innovation Support Project Steering Committee, Director of Educational Support, and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
