K-Rail One Team Wins 'Vietnam Urban Railway Construction Legal System Establishment KSP Project'
The K-Rail One Team, consisting of the Korea Rail Network Authority, Korea Railroad Corporation, KR International, and Woosong University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, announced on the 8th that it has won the 2024/25 KSP policy advisory service contract for the "Vietnam Urban Railway Construction Legal System Establishment Project."

View original imageCommissioned with funds from the Export-Import Bank of Korea's Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), this project will be carried out until September this year. The K-Rail One Team will conduct a policy advisory project to systematize national technical regulations related to Vietnam's urban railways. Specifically, it will carry out ▲ on-site surveys for establishing Vietnam's legal system ▲ proposals for improvement measures and strategies to attract urban railway investments ▲ sharing experiences in promoting legislation for Korea's urban railway development.
The K-Rail One Team will also present policy directions for the development of Ho Chi Minh City's urban transportation and conduct training for policy practitioners. The plan is to provide Ho Chi Minh urban railway officials with confidence in the development and technology of K-Rail by sharing Korea's railway project experience and technical know-how.

A representative of the K-Rail One Team stated, "We expect that by spreading Korea's outstanding railway technology and know-how, it will serve as a stepping stone for securing additional projects not only in Vietnam but also in the Southeast Asian region in the future," adding, "We will actively strive to export Korea's railway technology to the world."
