Gangseo-gu Issues 6 Billion Won in Gangseo Love Gift Certificates... 7% Discount Benefit
Sale at 11 AM on the 15th, Total of 45 Billion Won This Year
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will issue the 'Seoul Gangseo Love Gift Certificate' worth 6 billion KRW on the 15th of this month.
Out of the total issuance amount of 45 billion KRW this year, 6 billion KRW will be issued early. This year, in addition to the existing 5% discount purchase benefit, an additional 2% payback (reward refund) is provided, allowing a total discount benefit of 7%.
The gift certificates can be purchased from 11 a.m. on the 15th of this month through the dedicated app, Seoul Pay Plus, with a maximum purchase limit of 500,000 KRW per person. The purchased gift certificates can be used at about 13,000 affiliated stores located in Gangseo-gu, including restaurants, beauty salons, pharmacies, and convenience stores.
The holding limit is up to 1.5 million KRW. Corporations have no limit on holding but are not eligible for discounts. The validity period is 5 years from the date of issuance. When purchasing, not only discount benefits but also income deduction of 30% of the payment amount can be received. Small business owners benefit as there are no payment fees, benefiting both consumers and sellers.
Meanwhile, the district plans to issue gift certificates worth 45 billion KRW annually, including this Lunar New Year gift certificate. This is an increase of 5 billion KRW compared to last year's 40 billion KRW. The number of issuances will also increase from 5 times a year to 12 times, with 18 billion KRW concentrated in the first quarter to revitalize the local economy.
Starting next month, the Seoul Gangseo Love Gift Certificate will be regularly issued and available for purchase on the first Wednesday of every month. The issuance scale and time will be announced through the Seoul Pay app and the district website.
